Wanted: models for artistic collaboration

Marauder Photography is currently looking for models. You don’t have to be a professional – we’re looking for offbeat, creative individuals with a sense of humour. If you feel you have something unique and unusual to offer the lens, we’d love to hear from you!

What will it involve?

Firstly, Matthew will meet you for coffee to get to discuss ideas and answer any questions you might have. The style of the photo shoot is up to you; the best photos reflect people’s true nature. From here we will arrange a time and location that is convenient for everyone.

An average shoot can last for around four hours. Please feel free to bring along your own costumes, outfits and props. You have the option of doing your own makeup, or we can arrange a makeup artist. Any creative contributions from your end are encouraged - photography is a two-way thing.

In the week following the shoot, Matthew will compile all the best photos and either burn them onto a CD or make them available for you to download. If there’s anything you would like printed and framed, let us know and we’ll arrange it for you.

Ideally, we would like to establish a photographic relationship. This means that if the first shoot goes well, we’d love to do it again so we can experiment further. Great photographs are a product of the special kind of trust and rapport that exists between photographer and subject.

Are the shoots paid?

No, but you will get to keep a collection of beautiful, professional photographs of yourself.

Do I have to take my clothes off?

No, not unless you want to. We want you to feel comfortable at all times. (If the first shoot goes well and you’d like to try something more adventurous, we can explore the option of nude photography further down the track.)

What if I’ve never modelled before?

That’s totally fine. As mentioned, we’re not looking for long legs and pouted lips, we’re looking for unconventional, interesting people who are curious about the art of photography.

Where are you based?

Most of Matthew's studio work is done in Waterloo, Sydney. We sometimes travel so if you're interstate we'd still love to hear from you.

This all sounds pretty cool. Where do I go from here?
